Classicist structure built by the Liechtenstein family between 1816 and 1827 for the purpose of relaxation and rest for the aristocratic family underwent between the years 2017 and 2018 an extensive reconstruction, under strict supervision of the new owner, which, with its interior and exterior sought to bring its original form as close as possible. The reconstruction did not involve only the historic building, but also the entire hotel complex and surronding greenery.

On Saturday, June the 16th 2018, the challenging construction work was ended with with a spectacular event ESSENS Grand Opening Chateau de Frontiere , which hosted hundreds of significant guests.Since then, the hotel complex is being used for relasation and rest not only by members of aristocratic family, as in the past, but also by general public.

Guests can stay in a four-star hotel in newly refurbished rooms. Gourmets will be delighted in a fine dining restaurant with premium gastronomic experiences in the form of fine dining menus. The wine tasting of selected Moravian wines and the truth at the bottom of glasses can be experienced in the castle wine bar. And what´s the main goal of the current owner? To honour the magnificent building with the upmost respect, to care for the building with love and best possible conscience so that the renowned aristocratic heritage remains preserved for the next generations with all of its charming beauty.

The message of history and its legacy for the next generations is engraved on two commemorative plaques that were revealed at the ceremonial opening on the occasion of planting a tree of significance and the restoration of the border creek.
